Child Search

What is Child Search?

Child Search is a part of the Federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, mandating local school districts to identify children who may have special needs. It aims to locate children who may struggle with learning, have a disability, or exhibit exceptional skills beyond their age level, potentially qualifying for gifted services. NOLA Public Schools’ Child Search Office handles locating and evaluating children aged 3-5 in Orleans Parish.
